Performing on stage was my highlight. Performing in front of a large audience is not my thing but as I walked on that stage I thought of my family. Making my family proud was my goal yesterday and I achieved it, by being the MC and also performing in a different culture which was really amazing and it also made me feel like a true Fijian. It was also a great privilege to take part in the offertory with my family in church, I couldn’t do anything if it wasn’t for my teacher’s help.
I had goosebumps from head to toe but I knew that if I didn’t do it I won’t achieve my goal that I made yesterday. As I performed the more my friends shouted out my name the more confident I got. They were the ones who put a smile on my face. Before I went on stage I didn’t have the confidence to perform but because I had my mother right by my side to comfort me I wouldn’t had been standing on that stage.
